- The San Diego Chargers placed center Scott Mruczkowski on the injures reserve, who suffered a major ankle injury against the Cincinnati Bengals. The team is hopeful that standout center Nick Hardwick can come back from injury to play this week against Tennessee. The team also added veteran center Eric Ghiacuic, he has started 42 games in the NFL and was cut by the Chiefs in training camp.
- Linebacker Shawne Merriman (foot) and defensive end Jacques Cesaire (elbow) did not practice on Tuesday
- The San Diego Chargers moved up in the NFL Power Rankings. They moved up from the #4 spot into #3, behind only the Colts and Saints.
