Nate Kaeding withdrew from the Pro Bowl

Nate Kaeding won't be able to put his poor performance against the Jets behind him in the Pro Bowl. He slightly tore his groin during practice for the Pro Bowl.

He will now have to wait until next season to attempt a field goal in a game to try to wipe away the memory of the game against the Jets. Nate, missed three field goals, including two inside 40 yards in a 17-14 upset loss to the Jets. He missed that many in all 16 games of the regular season.

Keep your head up Nate and come back strong next year.

Will The Chargers Stay As Top Contenders?

After the San Diego Chargers end a 13-3 season with a disappointing loss to the Jets, it's time look at the future on how they can stay as top contenders.

Chargers Lose — Out Of The Playoffs

The San Diego Chargers blew a HUGE playoff game to the New York Jets at home. In front of a sold out crowd, the Chargers offense were non-existense for most of the game. Costly penalties on both sides of the ball, missed opportunites and lack of rythym were the cause of the loss.

Seems like the stars just aligned perfectly for the New York Jets in this game. And here is why:
  • The very reliable and the most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL missing 3 field goals in which 2 were inside 40 yards.
  • The most accurate passer in the game today, throwing 2 picks in a game. One in which the ball hit VJ on the foot as he was falling down and right in to the defenders hands who was also on his way down. You can run that same play a hundred times and something like that would never happen.
  • One of the least penalized team in football commiting 10 penalties. Some of which were just plain stupid such as; the headbutt by Shaun Phillips, the unsportmanlike kick of the challenge flag by Vincent Jackson, and a facemask penalty.
The San Diego Chargers, usually a pretty disciplined team, picked the wrong game to break out of their character and it cost them a chance to reach their ultimate goal, the Superbowl.

Being a loyal Chargers' fan, I will stay true to my team and be thankful for the exciting season that they have given us. And to all of you bolt fans out there — there is always next year!

Jets vs. Chargers

The stage is now set, the New York Jets vs. the San Diego Chargers this Sunday night at Qualcomm. It will the defensive guru Rex Ryan against the offensive guru Norv Turner. Best defense against the high powered offense of the Chargers. Here are keys for the Chargers to win:
  • The defense need to stop the run against the No. 1 rush offense of the Jets. If there is a way to beat the Chargers, it is on the ground. It will not only eat up the clock but it keeps our potent offense off the field.
  • Rivers will have to spread the ball around like he has in the regular season. Jets cornerback Darrell Revis is a shutdown corner and will probably stick with Vincent Jackson all game, so Rivers will have to rely on the their other offensive weapons – Gates, Floyd, Nanee, LT & Sproles.
Anyways, I can't wait for the week to be over with. GO CHARGERS....

    Congrats to Nate Kaeding

Chargers' Pro Bowler Nate Kaeding has been named the AFC special teams player of the week. He made all of his 3 field goal attempts on the win against the Washington Redskins, in which 2 of the 3 were over 45 yards.

Nate Kaeding is one of the most accurate kicker in the NFL this season. He has made 32 of 35 field goal attempts for a .914 percentage and a team record.

San Diego Chargers Sign A Linebacker!

The Chargers made a roster move Tuesday, they put backup linebacker James Holt on the injured reserve. Holt hurt his shoulder in the game against Washington on Sunday. He was a rookie free agent who played well on special teams.

Due to the injury, the Chargers signed veteran linebacker Dontarrious Thomas. He was with the Minnesota Vikings in 2008 and was their second-round draft pick in 2004.

Chargers Win To End The Regular Season!

    Source: ESPN.com

The San Diego Chargers finished the regular season 13-3 by beating the Redskins 23-20 and extend their winning streak to 11 games.

San Diego Chargers' backups pulled out a nice win to end the regular season---they were able to rest key players and kept the momentum heading in to the playoffs. The Chargers have the No. 2 see and a first-round bye in the AFC playoff picture.

The Chargers rested several starters Sunday and pulled many others early. The win against the Redskins shows that San Diego has a very strong depth as they prepare for a Super Bowl run.
